To create a new user please login to the Web Application www.bankbiapp.com. Once you are logged in click on the 'Users' menu option (below System Admin).
You will now have the option to 'Create User'. Click on this menu option.
Now enter the new User details:
Full Name : Enter your full name.
Email: Enter your email address.
Start Date: When you wish the user to start having access to the system (leave blank for immediate start)
End Date: When you wish the user to finish having access to the system (leave blank for ongoing usage)
Reporting Application Menu: There are many Reporting Application Menus that can be mapped to each user. Each Reporting Application Menu will add functionality cumulatively for that menu option.
You can map the user to more than one Reporting Application Menu if required. You must map the user to at least 1 System Role to enable them to login to BankBI. Please check with BankBI directly to identify which Reporting Application Menus are appropriate for your users.
System Roles: There are 4 different roles that can be allocated to a user;
User Security Administrator can add/edit and delete users (see user diagram above)
Finance Administrator gets access to reporting currencies, generate results and edit configuration tables.
Data Management Administrator can manage and edit configuration tables, chart of accounts and can also view month end and reporting currencies.
Report Viewer can view both financial and banking performance reports.
Department: This field can be used by you internally to identify groups of users
Branch Security
This grants users different degrees of security in order to gain access to specific branches or All branches. The drop down allows you to select branches by region. By clicking a region, get access to specific branches or ALL Branches (see below)
While setting up users, you can also select what level of detail the Balance sheet and Income statement reports can be viewed to. Levels range from 2 - 5. Reports which are available at level 2 display a more summarised chart of account level, whilst level 5 shows the full detailed structure down to the GL account level.
The system defaults to level 5 if the level of security is left unspecified.
BankBI receives daily data which is displayed to anyone with permissions to see 'Unpublished Data'. It is possible to hide this data if for example a finance team would like users to only see the completed last months data rather than incomplete data for the current month. Data is then only 'Published' after the month end has been completed. This setting defaults to the Published view.
