Install the Upload Agent Software

Log into BankBI using a user with the Data Administrator role.

Navigate to the Bank Admin site by clicking the cog icon in the top right corner.

Choose Upload Agent > Agent in the menu and click the Download button.

Double click the downloaded MSI to launch the installer.

On the welcome page of the installer, click Next.

Choose whether you want the Upload Agent to automatically update itself when a new version of is available online. You can change this setting in the configuration user interface later.

If required, change the path where the Upload Agent will be installed.

Click Install to complete the installation.

Once the installation has completed, click finish. Leaving the checkbox ticked will launch the configuration user interface to complete setup.

Configure the Upload Agent

If the Upload Agent Configuration UI has not been launched by the installer, double click the “Upload Agent Configuration” shortcut on the desktop or navigate to http://localhost:58370/ in a modern evergreen browser (e.g. Chrome, Edge or Firefox).

Click the “Add WatchPoint” button.

Enter the path to the watchpoint folder in the “Upload Folder Path” text box, or use the “…” button to navigate.

The identifier will be automatically set to the name of the selected folder. This can be modified if you wish to name the watchpoint with a more memorable name. This is especially useful if you will be uploading data to multiple organisations.

Click the “Generate” button next to the Certificate dropdown list.

Enter the username and password used to log into the BankBI application to download the Upload Agent installer. This username and password will not be stored – it is used to connect to the BankBI API server and download a client certificate that will be used by the Upload Agent to authenticate with the service in operation.

If you have access to multiple organisations in BankBI, select the relevant organisation in the dropdown menu presented.

Click Next and a certificate will be generated, downloaded and installed on the computer and automatically selected in the Certificate dropdown.

Enter the chosen encryption password in the relevant input field and click the Save button.

The Upload Agent will then connect to the BankBI API using the installed client certificate, download the latest version of the Upload Agent Configuration for your organisation and restart the service to start monitoring the new watchpoint folder.
