Year-to-Date Loan Portfolio Analysis

Basic description

This report allows comparison of loan portfolio growth between two points in time one year apart – usually the current month and the same time last year. It compares the month-to-date and year-to-date growth with the position at the same time the previous year, showing the MTD and TYD variance in both value and percentage terms between the two years. The presentation can either show all regions and branches, or the user can select a specific region or branch and focus in on new loans by product for the region or branch selected. Users can alter the reporting date to see a historic view of the year-on-year changes at any point in time.

Uses

This report helps managers to look at how growth in the loan portfolio compares to the same time last year (and for example last year vs. previous year). Moreover, it allows managers to isolate various factors to see variation in such growth, e.g. regions, branches, business areas and products. Comparing or MTD and YTD variances allows you to see if trends are accelerating or weakening.

Options

You can select:-

 Whether to show the report by region/branch or by product.
 A single branch, group of branches (e.g. region), or the whole institution
 The month for the data.
